The Public Relations Officer, also called more simply by the acronym PR (from the English ‘public relations’), is a very important figure who plays a fundamental role in the development of the company .
In fact, he takes care of the corporate image, through communication activities aimed at both an external and internal public of the company (customers, suppliers, media, employees, collaborators, etc.)
The care of communication and relationships is essential for all companies, considering also that their progressive internationalization has introduced new forms of communication, which sometimes also include intercultural mediation activities .
He is a transversal figure, who is placed in the field of communication, in close contact with the Marketing staff , the press office, advertising professionals.

The main objective of the Public Relations Officer is the management of a company’s reputation and its relationship with the reference public .
Public relations act as a support for the achievement of specific objectives (creating consensus around an initiative, marketing products, etc.).
What are your duties?
The Public Relations Officer first of all participates in the definition of the image and identity of the company , to identify the characteristics on which to build the corporate communication strategies.
Then, the PR then takes care of designing an external relations plan (in collaboration with the communication team), identifying objectives, contents, tools and obviously with a focus on the target audience.
Once the project has been launched (which may include, for example, the distribution of information materials, the organization of events, cultural initiatives, relations with the press, etc.), the Public Relations Officer will take care of collecting data relating to project results.
Parallel to the communication activities, all the management activities of the databases of contacts and relations with the public, suppliers, collaborators , etc. are carried out.
